Waiting.....

Ok, so my biggest flaws are that I am a procrastinator and I hate waiting to find out results on something I'm excited/aprehensive about.  When my son was involved with acting, the hardest part of the whole thing was waiting for the phone to ring after an audition.  In case you haven't had the pleasure, let me just clue you in.  You go to an audition, you do your best, then you sit back and wait and hope.  You may NEVER hear a word as you only get a call if you get the job.  Well, today I am waiting once again and I cannot stand it.  My son tried out for his incoming freshman summer baseball team last week.  They have posted that decisions have been made and that those making the team will be called "in a couple of days."  As far as we know, noone has been called yet, but this waiting is really going to send me over the edge.  You see, we live in an area where sports are EXTREMELY competitive (5A schools).  My son is taking it in stride (thankfully), but probably because his father and I are doing all the worrying for him!  And imagine, this is just summer ball, oh the joys of the actual team tryouts come spring!

On the topic of waiting.  Isn't it funny that we will gripe and groan when faced with a line at the drive in teller or the grocery store, but yet we will stand in 1 to 2 hour lines in Disney World where we have paid a hefty price to do so?????  Everything is realative.
